Our Team

Allison Trujillo, LPCC

I became a therapist because I’ve always had a deep passion for helping others feel understood...something I haven’t always received myself. Growing up neurodiverse came with its own challenges, and those experiences grew a passion in me to create a space where people can feel different and be celebrated for it.

You might be untangling your identity from family, faith, or cultural expectations—trying to figure out who you are outside of the roles and systems you were raised in. Maybe you’re unlearning old belief systems, making peace with your body, or carrying trauma that still echoes in your daily life. You might be questioning things you were once certain of...your identity, your values, your place in the world. If you’ve ever felt out of place in your own story, you’re not alone.

In my work, I use a mix of EMDR, and IFS to help people explore the deeper layers of their story—especially around trauma, identity, and body image. My style is warm, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity. Together, we’ll focus on healing internal wounds, reclaiming your identity, and building emotional resilience—without judgment or agenda.

For me, therapy isn’t about “fixing” what’s broken—it’s about coming home to yourself. If you’ve ever felt out of place in your body, your community, or your story, I’d be honored to hold space with you as you heal, unlearn, and grow into the person you’re becoming.

Monica Rixon, LPCC

I’ve always been drawn to the moments people tend to hide—the grief they carry quietly, the trauma they downplay, the parts of themselves they learned to tuck away to survive. We tend to minimize our experiences believing they weren’t “big enough” or “bad enough” to matter. Over time, we notice how deeply those unseen stories shape us… and how healing it can be to finally give them space.

You might be carrying losses that no one else seems to understand, or trauma you’ve learned to brush off just to keep moving. Maybe you’ve spent years trying to make peace with your body, or trying to figure out who you are beneath the expectations you’ve absorbed from family, culture, or the world around you. You may feel disconnected from your own worth, caught between who you are and who you feel you have to be. If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to unpack it alone.

I use a blend of CBT, ACT, and DBT with a warm, trauma-informed, and deeply collaborative approach. Whether we’re exploring grief, healing trauma, or navigating disordered eating, my goal is to help you realign with your authentic self—gently bridging that gap between the person you’ve had to be and the person you truly are.

Therapy isn’t about pushing you toward change—it’s about helping you reconnect with yourself in ways that feel safe, compassionate, and possible. It’s an honor to walk with you as you unlearn old patterns, tend to the places that hurt, and grow into a life that feels more like your own.

Outside the office…

Alli and Monica share a love for reading, hiking, and discovering new coffee spots together. When they’re not side by side, you’ll find Alli at a Padres game or cozying up with her cats, and Monica playing video games or soaking up time outdoors.
